The Ontario Real Estate Association publishes standard forms that become the basis for contracts in real estate transactions. These forms are equally useful to lawyers, who can trade in real estate if the trade “in real estate is itself a legal service or is incidental to and directly arising out of the legal services” (Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002, SO 2002, c 30, sched. C, s. 5(1)[g]).
